Working at Rubbermaid when he died.
Carl was a good student. He played football in HS, as did his f our brothers, and carried this interest on into college. After returning from military service in Korea he found employment in his profession at Rubbermaid Inc in Wooster. He was good at h is job and well liked and was being groomed for promotion when h e died.

Mabel and John both grew up in the Greer vicinity after marriage they
started farming on 513 (Kaylor Ridge - Glenmont Road) about a mile east
of Ohio514. They developed a fine orchard and also raised small fruits.
They had a very good business until John sickened and died. Mabel, with
the help of the children was able to keep the farm going for some years
during which time she married Jerry Thomas who was an oil well driller.
He also died and a few years after his death, Mabel sold the farm and
moved to Loudonville, where she now resides. Until her mother's death,
she made a home for her for quite a few years.
